Winter Outlook 2011/2012

If you haven’t already seen the predictions for what is being called “a rare double-dip pattern” then here is some pictorial evidence that La Nina is coming back. Last winter was big in the Northwest and one can only hope that we get another like it. NOAA weather is also citing an “Arctic Oscillation” which could cause a bump in the activity of the La Nina this winter. I don’t like to rely too heavily on the weathermen but Kelso has been talking “hold on, big winter” since moving to Oregon in June. That kind of enthusiasm I can buy into.
