Maine Christmas Snowboarding

A snowy Christmas in Maine this year. We saw high winds delivering more than a foot of fresh snow across the state. Getting around was a little difficult but Kelso and I still hit all the Maine riding essentials. A Day at Sugarloaf with Lev and Jack prior to the storm, some night turns in high winds at the locals only Lost Valley during the storm, a quick rail session at Portland Maine’s city snowboard setup at Payson Park, and another clear day of windblown riding at the Loaf.
It was really nice to be in Maine for the storm. Winters in Oregon can be disappointing when it’s damp and wet instead of snow bound pine trees and icy driveways. With a beautiful six days in Maine past and the ocean views absorbed, I feel like it’s finally winter.
