February Park Laps With Kelso and Ladd

By February on Mt.Hood, the steady stream of snow storms slowed down enough for the Meadows park crew to finish off their parks. They brought in the STP crew to help shape a Star lift park with two very nicely shaped jumps, followed by some larger rail features. Kelso, Ladd, Nikki and I felt our way through the first hits on the jumps and by the end of the day were comfortable enough to try some tricks.

Kelso put down nice, clean front 7’s on the first hit and then stepped it up over the big gap with a floaty front 3. Ladd was as smooth as butter all day. He eventual got the itch to start spinning and dropped a few picture perfect back 5’s on the first jump. It was so nice to see Ladd riding well, especially having not ridden park yet this season. I followed Ladd through the Forest park on the way down to the car and captured more of Ladd’s instincts taking care of business.
